Second Harvest Food Bank Donations Needed

This Saturday is Stamp Out Hunger, the Nation's largest single-day food drive! Saturday morning, please place a bag of non-perishable food items by our mailboxes and our letter carrier will donate the items to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, which serves 46 counties in Middle and West Tennessee! Their goal is to raise 1 million pounds throughout their service area!

If you miss the food pickup, you can donate your items in the collection bins at any Kroger or Dollar General store. Most needed items are peanut butter, canned meat, canned vegetables, canned fruit, pasta, and cereal.

SPNA Yard Sale Saturday May 14

Hello neighbors,
The Sylvan Park Neighborhood Association Yard Sale is Saturday May 14 and as residents of West End Station, we are welcome to participate. The sale will run from 8am to 2pm.  At the end of the sale, a truck from Goodwill will come around and pick up any items you would like donated to charity.

There is a $15 fee to participate covering advertisement for the sale. The fee will be divided by the number of participants. So far we have 2 houses participating, so if it ends up just being those 2 houses, they will pay $7.50 each.

You will be responsible for set up and clean up of your items. Set up on your front/back porch or sidewalk in front of your house. This is an approved sale by WES HOA, normally it would not be acceptable to set up a yard sale in front of your home.

Take advantage of this opportunity to purge unwanted items, and participate in a very well promoted yard sale for a small fee. SPNA distributes a map with all the homes participating, and puts up balloons and signs to attract customers. It super easy, you gather unwanted stuff, price it,  and move it out to your porch. You don't even have to move it back in, Good Will will come pick up what you don't want.
